Understanding behaviour and implementing positive behavioural strategies is vital to effective classroom management. Even more important, is when a school community adopts a whole school approach to the issue of behaviour.
Improving student academic and behaviour outcomes is facilitated when all students have access to the most effective and accurately implemented instructional and behavioural practices and interventions possible.
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a framework that guides selection, integration and implementation of the best evidence based practices that benefits all students. This course provides an understanding of what PBS is and how this approach can improve behavioural and academic outcomes. Additionally, by adopting this approach, schools can create a culture where everyone is valued and succeeds.
