Course Description

In this course, Andrew Oberthur explains:

  • the 5 reasons why parents engage with their children's school

  • the 3 questions that teachers should ask parents

  • the 3 questions that parents should ask teachers

  • the 3 responses parents should give their children

  •  the 2 criteria teachers should use to filter their responses to parent requests.

Hence the formula for TRUST is 5+3+3+3+2 = 16.

This is a very practical PD and participants will leave with strategies they can use when engaging with parents. As relationships with parents can be one of the major stressors for teachers, the message is very important for the well-being of all teachers.
