Course Description

This course is designed to provide you with the tools to assist every student in your care to create and undertake a program in musical performance that shows them in the best possible light, allowing them to provide a confident and polished presentation, designed to maximise their HSC results in Music.

Audience

This course is best suited to teachers of Stage 6 Music 1, Music 2 and Extension Music.   

Whilst the course is focussed towards Proficient level, Head Teachers or teachers at the Highly Accomplished level can benefit from this presentation.

David Reidy

David Reidy

David Reidy has been playing music professionally since the age of 12 and has toured the world, conducting music seminars in over 45 nations. David has taught across the K-12 spectrum, including some time as a Head Teacher CAPA. As well as his time in schools, David has written courses and lectured for Hillsong International Leadership College.

More recently, David has advised NSW DET on the use of technology in the Music classroom and has been heavily involved in seeing many young musicians reach success in the music industry across the globe. In 2015, students whom David had mentored and taught were selected as featured artist in the Schools Spectacular and remained as featured artist till they graduated in Year 12.

David has performed on stage in both large and small venues from 50,000 to 5 people, bringing the same energy and principles he teaches to his own performances. This is an outstanding opportunity to hear and learn from a teacher and performer with over 50 years in education.
