Course Description

'Relatedness' involves connectivity, authenticity, trust, respect, compassion and nurture. For those of you who are struggling to connect in a real way with your students, this course is for you. Too many teachers jump straight into curriculum worried that this is all that matters and that time is of the essence. Wrong! What matters is WHO your students are, HOW you work with your students and WHY you are doing this in the first place.

This course will look at workable and straightforward ways to connect with all of your students. It is essential that your students feel a sense of belonging in your classroom; that the 'magic' of your classes continually lures them back and makes them want to learn and to interact with their peers and yourself.

Magic of the classroom

Leanne Theodos's vast experience in several learning contexts, from Early Childhood to High School and beyond, has enabled her to become a successful practitioner; one who can not only connect with and learn about their students but enable them to have fun and success, while being comfortable and interactive in the learning and magic of the classroom.

How wonderful would it be to look forward to going to work every day? Enrol in this course and discover how it can happen...

Leanne Theodos

As the Director of KLC, I ran many professional development sessions over many years. I worked for a period with Pat Edgar Consultancy/Education and presented seminars in Cairns and Brisbane on several topics to primary and high school teachers. I was also a lecturer at Bond University and my students were often mature age professionals going through a life change and opting for education so that was more like professional development than lecturing.

I was a lecturer at The Mt Prison in Bovingdon in the UK- where I lectured in personal development and negotiation skills, which was sort of ironic they would tell me but we had fun!

I also presented academic papers in Florence, Italy on behalf of academics at Griffith University to international academics.
