General Description

Geogebra is the mathematical software that has taken the world by storm. Its is free and installed on all the laptops which our students in DET schools are using. This course is part of the ‘Laptop in the Classroom’ series so BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP AND CHARGER. It is highly recommended that you download and install Geogebra Classic Version 6 before the course.

The material has been rewritten to be fully compliant with the new Stage 6 Syllabi. The new syllabus mandates the use of technology to illuminate many ideas. This course will leave you fully equipped to meet the challenges of the new syllabus.

This course will provide strategies to enhance your lessons and your students' learning. You will finish the day with a thorough working knowledge of Geogebra. Not only that but you will receive a USB key full of resources that you can take home and use at school immediately.

We will also look at how you might create interesting and relevant assessment tasks, allowing you at least in part to step away from the pen and paper model of assessment.

Great course. Good pace. There were opportunities to play around and make things more complicated if you had the skills but good for real beginners too.
