General Description

Giving helpful feedback and creating meaningful assessment tasks while keeping up with correction and managing a successful work/life balance is one of the biggest challenges of teaching. This workshop offers practical and easy-to-implement strategies for making the most of assessment for you and your students. Based on groundbreaking recent research (Hattie, Timperlay, etc.) and road-tested in classroom situations this course offers teachers highly effective ways to assess and transform the work and approach of their students. The course explores specifically designed learning games and activities, work samples and black line masters that can be used to create fast and effective feedback to and from students, techniques for reducing the amount and nature of your correction load and revision and reflection strategies that get real results.
