General Description

Green screen movie making with iPads applies technology in the classroom creatively, in a way that engages students with content, develops literacy and improves learning outcomes. 21st century learning is at the heart of the movie making process and this 1 day program demystifies the process for any teacher interested in bringing multi-modal learning to their practice.

This is an interactive, hands-on program. Teachers will collaborate through a number of movie-making tasks, both in front and behind the camera. From writing, rehearsing to crewing, editing, watching and reviewing, in our mini-movie festival at the conclusion of the workshop.

Understanding how video can enhance your teaching and taking away practical tools for the classroom is the aim of this program. For those already applying technological strategies in the classroom, this course will enhance and develop your skills to the next level.

He is currently undertaking a Master’s in Screen Arts and Business at AFTRS, completing a thesis on how the movie making process develops collaborative skills in students. He has over 20 years working as a producer, director, actor and educator.
