General Description

A student’s well-being is critical to their success in the classroom and in life. The best learning takes place when a student feels happy, safe and connected to others. Neuroscience supports this fact and research proves that the brain cannot learn optimally if a student is under stress, experiencing anxiety or in a state of unhappiness. It is, therefore, imperative that as educators we become skilled in understanding and implementing ways to support our students' emotional and social well-being so that every student can reach their full potential.
This workshop is designed for teachers who desire to make a real difference in the lives of their students and who wish to create classrooms that support and nourish the whole child.
The pedagogy shared is simple, yet powerful and practical, designed to transform your classroom into an inspiring, engaging, energized space where every child’s innate potential is unleashed and you, as a leader, are feeling fulfilled and on purpose.

The process taught in this workshop is designed to:
■ Develop teacher’s understanding of the neuroscience behind optimal learning
■ Improve the learning outcomes of students from Kindergarten through to Year 12
■ Create powerful pedagogy in the classroom that promotes high standards of intellectual quality
■ Increase student engagement, motivation, interest and attention
■ Breakthrough student stress and anxiety and unleash calm in the classroom
■ Increase student well-being and develop student’s social and emotional competencies
■ Build student self-esteem, inner-strength, self-regulation and direction in order to maximise every child’s innate potential
■ Enhance teacher fulfilment and job satisfaction

Teachers will learn how to:

■ Create a connected classroom
■ Help a child transform out of negative emotions into positive, more resourceful states so that they are positioned to learn more effectively
■ Develop a peaceful, calm and supportive learning environment
