Quality of the course is sound, some methods of flipping or the programs being used can be clunky or are out of date. This should have regular updates to stay relevant.

I was familiar with screencasting prior to enrolling but it was great to learn about “Google Teacher” in one of the Youtube clips and Blendspace is awesome. I’m really glad I did this course.

A lot of the links didn’t work. For example everything shared through ‘slide share’ would not open. I would get this message whenever I clicked on the links: 'This uploaded file has been marked private by the author. Sorry!'

The course has excellent suggestions on a variety of tools. It is very relevant to the current requirement and push for more technology use but also for a different approach to the traditional methods of teaching. It has given me new tools to use to provide content in a different manner. It has excellent step by step materials to guide you on how to use the tools, both in text format but also helpful videos. The variety provided allows the teacher to identify the tool that would best suit their classroom or subject.

I was very disappointed with the content and actually teaching that was included in this course. Most of it was just directing the participant to a number of different websites and then you had to to try to navigate your way.

The Flip it course was engaging and practical course for teachers of any subject. I found that the online format was extremely beneficial as you could manipulate resources in real time, use them and then make any alteration or get support when you were stuck straight away. Meaning that all these great ideas have already been put into practice in the classroom, rather than waiting for the next time you teach something.

The idea of a flipped classroom seemed daunting at first but I feel that this course has provided me with the information and skills to help me implement it. The course opened my eyes to just how powerful ICT can be in engaging students in their learning. I was amazed by the range of online tools out there for teachers and I now feel confident enough to use some of these tools in my own classroom.
