General Description

Photoshop Elements is an essential program to edit and create basic graphics in your classroom. Learn to harness basic skills in image editing, create gif images for websites, colour correction, and utilise the tools in Elements. Participants will become familiar with Photoshop Elements interface and tools.Photoshop Elements software is included on all laptops issued by the State Government and is a different program to the full version of Photoshop CS. On completion of this course participants will go away with a variety of tutorials, resources and ideas, which they can use in the classroom.This workshop is part of the ‘Laptop in the Classroom’ Series so bring your own laptop.

Audience

All ICT teachers especially Visual Arts and Technology teachers that wish to gain experience with this software.

What To Bring

Bring your own DET laptop or a laptop with Photoshop Elements 7.0- 9.0 installed and ACTIVATED and wireless ready (Check with your school IT person before the commencement of the course).
Also bring a USB Mouse for ease of use.

Sharron is a Visual Arts Educator and digital artist. Sharron holds a Bachelor of Arts – Visual Arts and a Diploma in Education – Secondary studies. As an Art Educator, since 1993, Sharron has continued to develop her artistic skills, specializing in alternative digital and photographic mediums. Sharron has been teaching Photoshop, Animation and Photography courses to teachers and students, for over 10 years and has developed vocational Fine Art & iPad Art courses for K to 12 students at Art Club Kids.
