Peita Mages

Head Teacher English providing practical strategies for maximising results in English teaching and learning.

After a ten-year career in film publicity and marketing (Disney, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures) as National Publicity and Promotions Manager, Peita secured a scholarship to retrain as an English teacher. As a Head Teacher she leads a team of 15 educators in a comprehensive secondary high school context. In 2018 Peita received a Minister’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. The award described Peita as an exemplary teacher whose ability to build rapport and challenge students to achieve their best resulted in consistently outstanding HSC results. Peita is innovative in her teaching practice and leadership approach and strategic in her planning and encourages a smarter not harder approach to English which benefits teachers and students alike. Currently on leave, Peita is the creator/director of Clever Cookie Academy.

"Peita Mages’ smarter not harder approach leads to teacher confidence and improvement in students' written responses. She provides fantastic resources and strategies that have inspired me to create an exciting work environment for my senior students. Highly Recommended!!"
