The course was valuable as it gave skills I would not have had the chance to learn otherwise. There was a balance between theory, practical and reflective activities.

This is a very useful course. It became apparent very early on in the online course that I had problems with my mentoring due to obvious and avoidable issues. The clarity of the aha moment is a great feeling! The good rating reflects online learning which is not my favourite mode of learning.

As expected, Danielle does a great job at pointing out the most important parts of teacher survival and reinforcing strategies to manage these.

I would definitely encourage others to do this course because it gives one so many great ideas on how to manage one’s wellbeing. This then leads to a level of contentment and happiness that allows one to manage stress and prevent burnout. The positive ways of maintaining one’s wellbeing as outlined in the course are absolutely essential for a successful teaching career.

I will take a lot away from today, changing my approach when taking on challenging issues, etc. Not feeling pressure to ‘solve’ everything, taking learning slow.

All of the content was extremely practical and achievable. I felt that we were given just enough information without being overwhelmed to return to our school environment and put these tools into practice. I have the scaffolds and language now to improve my rapport with colleagues.
