My life long ambition is to contribute to the educational community in some way that willl help teachers facilitate learning environments that are highly effective and very exciting.

Shef graduated as a Computer Systems Engineer in 1990 and completed a Diploma of Education in 1992, both from Monash University. For the last 20 years he has built up experience in both the business and education profession. His passion for teaching was so great that he left his technical careers completely to devote himself wholeheartedly to education. For the last 14 years he has taught classes in ICT, Maths and Science subjects for students in P-12 and mature age students in our TAFE system.

Finding secondary education to be the most exciting place to trial teaching best practices, he has completely devoted himself to contribute in this area working as a science teacher and student mentor for learning skills. Over the past two years he has taken up the role of professional development coach for a multi-campus independent school. Shef has recently completed his Masters of Education by Research at Monash University on factors effecting student achievement.
