Visual Arts and gifted education specialist

Michelle’s background is in art and as an art teacher she has taught in schools, ACE & TAFE Colleges. Michelle has a Master’s degree in Gifted and Talented Education. Completing her Master’s dissertation on underachievement in twice-exceptional students at the University of New England.
Michelle lectures in gifted education at Griffith University and has published numerous journal articles on gifted education. Michelle is former President of Gold Coast Branch of The Queensland Association for Gifted & Talented Children (QAGTC). Michelle is currently undertaking PhD research at Griffith University on the lived experiences of twice-exceptional children: Narrative perceptions of disability and giftedness.
