Incredibly relevant, I think the quality of the course could be improved slightly; some spelling and formatting errors.

Too simple and becoming dated. Would have appreciated being made aware of the age of the content created for this course before paying

The course should be retitled Source Analysis 101. I cam to it hoping to deepen my knowledge and skills and enhance the teaching of source analysis in the classroom. What I found was a comprehensive but foundational outline which, although I have been able to create some material which would be beneficial to my peers who are new to teaching history, didn’t develop my knowledge or enhance my skills to any great extent.

The Markers analysis and responses will be valuable for a particular task I have in mind which will be of benefit to students – so there have been some resources I could use.

Great online delivery.
Lots of readings. Not easily read on tablet. Scans are not so clear. Overall lots to read on. Great course.

The samples of student work and marker’s comments were by far the most beneficial aspect of this course – invaluable for student improvement and formative feedback.

Very helpful for breaking the subject down into key concepts and the associated skills, with ways to teach and assess these clearly. Good range of activities, including sample marking of longer responses.

Despite having taught History for some time I found the content refreshing and easily transferable to the classroom.
It was the first online course I have done and so I left it to the last minute to squeeze in – working through the exercises made me reflect upon the processes we demand of our own students and the importance to have clear instructions/aims. Enjoyed the course thoroughly and took away several elements to use in my classes.
